Autodesk AEC Excellence Awards 2016Infrastructure / Building / Construction
Rules

Submit your project and get the recognition you deserve. If you are innovating with BIM workflows across the building and infrastructure lifecycle – from the early stages of planning and preliminary design, to detailed design, pre-construction coordination, construction, and hand-over of your project data, this competition is for you.

Each participant can submit up to five projects in any of the categories.

To be eligible for judging, you must complete the submission questionnaire in English which includes project name, project characteristics, and description of how Autodesk technology was used to address project challenges.

Infrastructure

  • Infrastructure submissions may illustrate a specific project phase, such as planning, design, construction or management of an infrastructure project.

  • Categories include large projects and small projects.

  • Specialty categories that will also be judged include communication and collaboration for large projects; communication for small projects; and energy and natural resources.

  • Each project submission must include Autodesk® software in the project. To see a list of the software, see the complete competition rules for infrastructure.

Building

  • Building submissions may illustrate a specific project phase, such as planning, design, construction or management of building design projects

  • All projects to be judged for first and second place based on project complexity, innovation, sustainability, clear articulation of benefits of model-based workflows, integrated analysis, and simulation techniques, as well as based on each Judge’s individual evaluation and expertise based on the Competition’s categories of evaluation

  • Specialty categories include Simulation and analysis technology; IPD or collaboration project; Computational design; Design & Fabrication; and Small firm project

Construction

  • Construction submissions may illustrate any building or infrastructure construction project, large or small, that achieved significant savings in time and/or costs through the use of Autodesk technology (see official rules for list of applicable Autodesk software).

  • Construction submissions may illustrate a specific project phase, such as planning, design, construction or management of construction projects.

  • Each project submitted by the Participant should pertain either to building construction or infrastructure construction.
